The history of the isle Usedom goes back a long way. Ancient cultures erected mysterious gravesites, pirates used the island as a perfect hideaway.

The three seaside resorts Ahlbeck, Heringsdorf, and Bansin gained on popularity in the 19^th century.

Aristocrats and members of the high society strolled along the prestigious boardwalks and enjoyed the extravagant lifestyle of the resorts. Especially Heringsdorf was a favored getaway of the emperor Wilhelm II. You can still feel and experience the glamorous atmosphere of the past.
