1912 Water tower (first building in Northern Germany built in reinforced concrete). The tower was restored in 1999.

Punkt Town Wall In the 13th century, Roebel was an important border place between the dioceses of Schwerin and Havelberg. Today, only some remains of the town wall still exist.

Pfeil Punkt Mueritz-National Park The picture of the National Park is shaped by the Mueritz as well as by 100 more lakes nestling in large forests. The forests of beeches, oaks and pines, left to their own resources, grow under quasi primeval forests conditions. A great variety of local flora and fauna can be found here.
The Nature Reserve has 360 kilometers of well-signposted trails for walks, bike rides,  or hay rides.

The picture of the Nature Reserve is shaped by 60 lakes, by the rivers Nebel and Mildenitz as well as by large forests. This area is the habitat of numerous sea birds, among them the sea eagle and the otter. At Lake Plauer See, old peat bogs can be found, which are drying up slowly. Here, the friend of nature has the opportunity to observe the phases of the process of drying up from the open water to bog up to the bog forest with its typical plants and animals..

The oldest Natural History Museum of Mecklenburg-West-Pomerania was founded in 1866. It houses a vast collection on the development of the landscape and on the natural history of the Mueritz region. Two other interesting attractions are the aquarium and the zoo.

The castle is situated on the Western bank of the Mueritz, between two nature reserves. The house was built in brick in the 17th century in the style of the Danish Brick Renaissance. Worth seeing is also the large park behind the building. Today, the house is used as a hotel.

was built in 1898 in the Gruender style. . Leizen is directly on the Autobahn BAB 19, exit Roebel, near the gate to the lake territory of Mecklenburg. Yet, there is absolutely no noise disturbance from the Autobahn (motorway) because of the 300 years old trees surrounding the castle-hotel.
