Right in the centre of the historic town, inside the Malchin Gate, visitors and guest have the opportunity to learn a lot about the history of our town. Some years ago the museum yard behind the police and town hall porters’ house as well as the appending stables were open to the public. After the opening of the Bergringmuseum on the Schulkamp area, the Town Museum has been extended by an interesting branch. |

| St. Peter and Paul Town Church | ||
| From the laying of the ground stone in 1215 to completion, construction works took more than 200 years. The high altar (14th century), the ceiling fresco in the chancel (around 1350), the Gothic triumph cross and the Baroque view of the organ can be named as parts with special historic-cultural meaning. | ||

| Bulwark Island near Teterow | ||
| The Burgwallinsel, situated a little outside on Lake ‘Teterower See’, is a little jewel. Up into the early Middle Ages, the Burgwallinsel Island was connected to the mainland by a wooden bridge of 750-metre length – a perfect masterpiece of architecture without a single nail. Today, the former Slavic settlement can be reached by ferry and it offers peace and rest for those who are in need of relaxation as well as possibilities for active recovery | ||
| The Heidberg Hill Memorial | The Heidberg Hill Memorial is a central point for all hiking lanes around Teterow. Climb up to the nearby hill, 92 metres high, and situated nearby the town, and you will, as all visitors do, find this edifice built in what at the time was modest style. It was built in 1927 in commemoration of the 300 members of the parish of Teterow, which died n action as soldiers in the 1st World War. The memorial resembles a sword whose blade has been rammed into the earth as a symbol of peace. When the weather is fine, you can enjoy the panorama of the Mecklenburgian landscape from the view point platform of the memorial. | |
| Thünen-Museum-Tellow 10 km from Teterow |
If you leave Teterow in the B 108 Federal Road in northern direction, after some 10 kilometres you will get to the Thünen-Museum in Tellow. The village with its Manor once was the centre of action of the internationally acclaimed agricultural scientist and model farmer Johann Heinrich von Thünen. Today, the Village Museum presents a traditional Mecklenburgian Manor ensemble including a large open-air exhibition. . | |
| Castle Schlitz and Park | ||
| The castle and the landscaped grounds of Burg Schlitz in close vicinity to Teterow are a real jewel. The castle was built in is present shape at the beginning of the 19th century. The castle is the centre of spacious park grounds. | ||
| Haustierpark in Lelkendorf The village of Lelkendorf is situated at the northern edge of the Mecklenburgian Little Switzerland – half way between Teterow and Neukalen. The “Schnursteinquelle” Nature Experience Park stretches in its close neighborhood. Nature conservation, agricultural purposes and soft tourism are linked there. The heart of this area is the Park of Animal Species, a small park with rare breeds of domestic animals in danger of extinction. Some 60 animals live on an area of 20 hectares. The “caress me”-enclosure is very attractive, especially for our little guests. A children's playground and a barbecue area invite for a rest. |

| The Mecklenburgian Little Switzerland and Lake Kummerower See Nature Park is situated in the centre of Mecklenburg-West-Pomerania. Its landscape is of a special variety and has numerous peculiarities. Differences of altitude of more than 100 metres let the landscape look very varied and remind of hill country shapes | ||
| Lots of lakes are nestled within the hills. Lake Kummerower See and Lake Malchiner See belong to the larger ones in Germany. Their water level is very close to the level of the Baltic Sea. The Peene, a slowly running meadow river, is habitat to a lot of very rare animals, among them the beaver, living on its embankment, overgrown with reeds and in the largest area of lower peat bogs in Germany. | ||
| Gottin Mansion | The style of the manor house is "simple and beautiful". It was built in1835 and is now a protected historic monument in the middle of the unique landscape of the area called Mecklenburgische Schweiz. Four years ago, this mansion was still in desperate need of restoration. Now it shines in a simple and inspiring style again. | |

This castle-hotel is nestled in a unique scenery, directly on the shore of lake Haussee. The three-wing-building of Classicism style was built this way from 1808 until 1812. This castle on an island is also surrounded by a beautiful English park. | |
