"Brunshoever Moehl" The vertical Dutch windmill was built in 1872 and is a landmark and a popular refreshments facility in Kuehlungsborn. The wind powered mechanism has been only partially preserved.

"Molli" Narrow Gauge Railway The oldest narrow gauge railway on the Baltic coast, begun in 1886 with the 5,6 km long spur from Bad Doberan to the Baltic resort of Heiligendamm, the "white town by the sea". It was completed and commissioned in 4 weeks. The track was extended to the Baltic resort of Kuehlungsborn, the "green town by the sea", on the 12. May 1910.

Kuehlungsborn Church The stone church was built in the early Gothic style in the 13th. century. The wooden clock tower has been well preserved. The south side of the church houses a small Madonna dating from 1350. Also of interest are a brass chandelier dating from 1597 and a modern altar table.

In the manor in Bastorf is an old palour, where interesting things are exhibited from the history of the region and of the manor.

Bad Doberan Cathedral The cathedral in Bad Doberan is an impressive Gothic brick construction, built as a monastery church and completed in 1386. The interior furnishings date from the 14th. Century; especially impressive are the altars (carved winged altar, Eucharist altar) and the choir stalls.

The Kuehlung The Kuehlung is a charming landscape which was formed during the last Ice Age. It is a wooded range of hills with an elevation of 130m. above sea level. The wooded region with its fells, ravines, streams and small ponds offers the ideal conditions for extended walks and cycle tours.
