	"Natureum Darsser Ort", Lighthouse Tel. 038233/ 304	The lighthouse Darsser Ort is under a preservation order and houses and outlet of the ocean-museum in Stralsund (operating since 1848, 35 m tall) exhibition "Nature Room Darsser Ort" and "History of the Lighthouse" Baltic Sea aquariums and Café, computer info system, tower climbing tour, Hours of Operation: May - October: daily 10a.m.-6p.m. November - April: Wednesday till Sunday 11a.m.-4p.m.
	"Kulturkaten Kiek In" (cultural center) Waldstrasse 42, Tel. 038233/ 69751	The administration house arranges over 100 different events under the title "Small Art at the Captain's House" from March to October as well as on New Years Eve. 	"Hohe Duene"	Lookout point (16 m) on the East side of town (direction of Zingst), guarantied a stunning view of the river Prerow and the Southern Coast (Coast of Coves)

	Darsser Forest and West-Beach	The peninsula Darss is mostly covered with beautiful, nearly undisturbed Darsser Forest A network of hiking, cycling, and riding trails of 50 kilometers in length, runs through the entire forest (approx. 4700 hectares in size) and leads to the towns of Prerow and Born. Following in the West is the amazing West-Beach, turned into a wild and romantic scenery by wind and waves. The Northern point known as "Darsser Ort", with the lighthouse is a very popular trip destination.
	SightseeingTours	are offered during the Summer by the Kneipp association at no cost. With prior reservations, groups can join educational tours on specific topics. Tours through the seaman's church are also available with prior reservation.
Trip Destinations:
	National Park Vorpommersche Boddenlandschaft	This National Park is with a size of 805 km² the largest in the new provinces of Germany. It takes in a vast natural coastal landscape including the peninsulas Darss and Zingst, sprawling fenland, and parts of West Ruegen as well as the island of Hiddensee. The greater part of the park, some 687 km², is water. Typical elements of the Baltic Coast landscape, such as steep and flat coastline, sandbars, coves, shallows and mudflats, dunes and beaches with typical flora and fauna are very close to each other in the National Park. Each year in the Fall, parts of the National Park become the largest resting place for migrating cranes in Europe.
	Rhododendronpark 18181 Graal-Mueritz	The park was set up during the years of 1955 until 1961. With a size of 4.5 hectares, the park is the largest of its kind. The 50 different types of Rhododendron and shrubs up to 10 m tall make an impressive picture during flowering. Every year after Whitsun, people celebrate the Rhododendron-Festival.
	Open-Air Museum 18311 Klockenhagen	Interesting regional examples of the rural housing from the 17^th to the early 20^th century are exhibited in this museum. Shown are, for example, different farmhouses, a bakery, and a trestle windmill.
	Natur-Schatzkammer und Paradiesgarten 18311 Neuheide	The privately run museum is the only one of this kind in Northern Germany. Besides approx. 250 kinds of mushrooms it shows about 200 different animal species.
	Amber Museum 18311 Ribnitz-Damgarten	Exhibition of nature and history of art as well as the preparation of amber. Demonstration workshop.
