| St. Marien Church | Begun with the building of the brick church
in1300. The choir in the east wing is the oldest part of the church and was built in early
Gothic style. The organ was made by the Berlin organ maker Buchholz and is especially
valued for its unique tone. The church library has preserved a Low German Bible which was printed in Barth in 1588. |

| House No. 2 Market |
The Swedish King, Gustav IV. Adolf was
received in this house by representatives of the city on 16th. July, 1800. Other visitors were Friedrich Wilhelm IV in 1853 and ten years later the reigning Crown Prince of the time. The noble Merchants House has a popular beerhouse in the lofty old vaulted cellar. |

This Swedish Foundation is the only one
to be found on German soil and was endowed in 1733 by the spinster daughters
of Pomeranian manorial lords. The Baroque edifice consists of two wings and is now worth seeing since the completion of restoration work. |

| Dammtor Fangelturm |
The Dammtor on the west side and the
Fangelturm on the east side are the only remaining traces of the former town
fortifications. The Dammtor was built in the 14th. century. It is 35 m. high, has a 4 m. wide passageway and almost quadrilateral foundations. The Fangelturm was brick built in the 16th. century. The upper storey and the domed roof were built on it in the 19th. century. It is 12m. high with a diameter of 7.70 m. The walls are 1.90m. thick. |

| Rhododendron Park 18181 Graal-Mueritz |
The park was laid out between 1955 and 1961.
It covers 4,5 hectares and is one of the largest of its kind. The 50 rhododendron species, some of them 10 metres tall, are an unforgettable sight when in bloom. The rhododendron festival takes place here every Whitsun. |

| National Park "Vorpommersche Boddenlandschaft" |
This national park covers 805 kmē and is the
largest in the new states. It includes the wide tract of natural coastal terrain on the
Darss and Zingst peninsulas, the wide shallows and parts of West Ruegen and the Isle of
Hiddensee. Some 687 kmē, the greater part of the national park, is water. Many typical elements of the Baltic coastal landscape such as high and low coasts, ravines, bays, lagoons, flats, dunes and beaches with their typical flora and fauna can be found in close proximity to each other in the national park. Every Autumn a part of the park becomes host to flocks of cranes and is the largest roost in Europe. |
