Cape Arkona Ruegen (Isle of Ruegen) |
The lighthouse was commissioned in 1826/27 and is the most senior lighthouse on the Baltic. Built on a design by Karl Friedrich Schinkel, the 20 m high brick tower stands on the northernmost point of the Isle of Ruegen and the state of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. A second 36 m high tower was built directly adjacent to it in 1902. In good conditions the light is visible from a distance of 22,5 sea miles. |

Greifswalder Oie (Isle of Oie) |
The lighthouse stands on the Isle of Oie in the Bay of Greifswald, about 35 sea miles
from Stralsund. It was commissioned in 1856. In good conditions the light is visible from a distance of 35 sea miles. |

"Darßer Ort" Lighthouse (Fischland-Darß-Zingst peninsula) |
The 35 m high lighthouse
stands on the northernmost point of the Darßer Wald near the Baltic resort of
Prerow on the Fischland-Darß-Zingst Peninsula . It
was commissioned in 1848. The tower houses a permanent exhibition from the Deutsches Meeresmuseum. |
