The "Kuehlung", one of the last landscapes to be formed in the Ice Age, is a charming range of wooded hills rising to 130 m. above sea level. The hilly wooded region with its ravines, brooks and small ponds is ideal for extended nature walks and cycle tours. The Bastorf lighthouse in the "Kuehlung" west of the Baltic resort of Kuehlungsborn was built in 1878. |
