| Visitors to Eggesin should
not miss to see the ”Eggesin local history room”. It is located in the old
elementary school, Bahnhofsstraße 4. Numerous exhibits inform about the history of the
town - starting with the first written document in the year 1216 up to the present times.

In the upper floor of the elementary school the "Small Army Museum" is situated. About 2.500 exhibits - among them uniforms, various shoulder straps, medals, protective masks and army equipment – document the "history of Eggesin as a garrison town".
