Town of Eggesin - Vorpommern

The town of Eggesin (6.700 inhabitants), an old Slavonic settlement founded in the early 13th century, is a real personal tip. It is surrounded by the vast pine forests and mixed woodland of the Ueckermuende Heath. Eggesin is situated near the "Stettin Haff" and to the Polish border. Ueckermuende, the next town, represents an attractive trip destination.

In Eggesin as well as in the neighbourhood you can relax and regenerate actively. The Randow river, passing through Eggesin, is an opportunity for friends of water sports to make boat trips. Friends of nature will enjoy the forests and many nature resorts. We have very beautiful bicycle-lanes and hiking trails and a rider’s lodge, inviting you to undertake something on your own. For all friends of hiking, we recommend the trail around lake Eggesin.
The sports and leisure center Move is the right place for active recreation.
Eggesin has offers in the cultural sphere as well. Do not miss a visit to the "Eggesin Local History Room" and to the "Small Army Museum", documenting the varied history of Eggesin. The ancient half-timbered church beneath the museums is a special treasure in Eggesin.

The Ueckermuende Zoo nearby is an excellent place for family excitements, especially because of the petting zoo. From Ueckermuende, you can also start a boat tour on the "Stettin Haff" with a visit to Poland.
