| The Isle of Vilm lies in the bay south of the Isle of Ruegen.
The island, with its virtually unspoiled fauna and flora is a paradise for birds; it can
only be visited by prior arrangement. We can recommend the boat trips round the island from Lauterbach/ Ruegen near the town of Putbus. |
Isle of Oie |
| The Isle of Oie lies about 35 sea miles out from Stralsund. The 38.6m. high lighthouse has stood on the island since 1856. It is also home to the last wild Shetland ponies in Germany. |
