| A region suitable for a second home. |
| No matter what time of the year you
visit the tourist area of Fischland-Darss-Zingst, you can rely on all the facilities being
at your disposal. Let nature spoil you in a healthy environment, relax and recharge. The
local fishermens cottages have been accommodating holidaymakers for over a hundred
years. Painters and writers come here to derive inspiration from the isolated countryside. The beaches with their fine white sands are especially inviting, as are the wild, romantic west coast, the calm bays by the shallows and the adjoining National Park "Vorpommersche Boddenlandschaft". |

The old traditional Baltic resorts of
Prerow, Ahrenshoop, Dierhagen, Wustrow and Zingst offer a wide range of cultural, sporting and leisure activities
and are visited all the year round. Born and Wieck and the other communities on the southern lowland coast offer all manner of excursions such as a carriage ride through National Park "Vorpommersche Boddenlandschaft". |
| A visit to the old mineral and mudbaths in
Bad Suelze can be recommended for
anyone seeking rest and health cures. The Aviary and Bird
Park in Marlow is a special treat for children. The town of Barth is the pearl of the Bodden region with a fine sailing area. There is plenty of mooring space for the sailors and other boating people. The cruise ships ply the Baltic and Bodden bay as far as Hiddensee. The angling is good both in the Bodden and in the sea. |
