Alt Schwerin is located on the shore of Lake Plauer See which covers an area of 38 sq. kilometres. The traditional resort, situated between the idyllic small towns of Plau-by-the-Lake and Malchow, on the edge of the Nossentiner/ Schwinzer Heath Nature Park, in the administrative district of the 'Landkreis Mueritz' is not only well-known for its two camp sites but also for the open-air-museum and the Lake Plauer See Nature Reserve with its sea eagles.
Camping am See, Zeltplatz Description:
The popular family camp site "Camping by the Lake" features 180 plots, all of them within 50 metres of the shore. A play area and shallow waters make this camp site the ideal venue for holidays with small children. The site provides modern sanitary facilities and runs a kiosk on the lakeside terrace.
