| The Dabel community has actually three parts of town, Dabel-Woland, Turloff and Holzendorf. With about 1.600 residents is Dabel the largest community in the former municipal district of Sternberg. |

The symbol of the town is the Dutch Windmill that was built in1892. The Doescher family owns the windmill since 1932. Fritz Doescher is a miller by trade and took over the mill in 1969. The mill is an acknowledged producing, technical monument. |
| Our ancestors must have also noticed this magnificent landscape, as many ground monuments pay tribute to the ancient times. One of them is the Megalithic Grave from the Stone Age and another witness are the Hill Graves from the Bronze Age. The Werder is also an inspiring hiking destination.
