Fishing Permits: There is a lot of fish in the lakes around Dabel, even predatory fish. A respectable catch is not unusual. Fishing is permitted from the shore, the jetty, or out of the boat. Good fishing grounds are maintained by the Fishing Club. Fishing permits are available in town. |

and Swimming: Numerous lakes and endless woodland provide excellent conditions for extensive hiking at any time of the year. The area is habitat for rare animals and plants, such as ospreys, cranes, orchi meadows, badger, and deer. The old beech and oak trees in the forest guaranty successful mushroom and berry picking in the Summer and Fall. There are many beaches accessible in the area. A guarded beach is in Sternberg. The quality of the water is good to very good.. |
