to Hagenow e.V. The village society of Hagenow registered society (Doerpschaft: Village Society in Lower German) This society has been founded on December 14th, 1982. In February of the following year, the first carnival evenings were organised. At the moment, 28 members are active. In addition to that, 24 children and teenagers show what they can in the children’s and teenagers’ guard. |

Nevertheless, the "Doerpschaft to Hagenow e.V." is not a carnival society in the common sense, as one perhaps might think. The leader, Ms Schoemer, describes it as a home town society, which does not only organise carnival evenings. The society’s activities also include the festivals of old towns and villages, jubilees, working with senior citizens and much more. |
