| Already our great-grandparents used to call their holiday guests as "Luftsnappers" (Lower German word for "air catchers"). They were right, because in Zingst its is the clear and pure air without anything else which turns out to be medicine. People under stress, patients with functional circulation disorders, or psychic disorders, but also with ailments of the respiratory tracts or with skin problems will find relief of their pains in our mildly bracing climate. |
| Zingst ... the peninsula, located between the cities of Rostock and Stralsund, stretches today over a length of about 20 kilometres and a width of 2 kilometres from West to East, bordered by the Baltic Sea in the North and by the "Barther Bodden" waters in the South. The health resort of the same name has in the course of the decades developed from an old sailors and fishermen’s village to a well known Baltic Sea Health Resort without giving up its character as a village. |
